Need a Laugh? - Best of Stand-Up on Netflix

Need a Laugh? - Best of Stand-Up on Netflix

When school gets me down or I feel like hiding away in my dorm, my preferred form of entertainment is definitely stand-up. Even when I rewatch my favorites, I still laugh like crazy when no one's around. If something's getting you down or you're in the mood to laugh until your sides hurt, check out my current favorite Netflix stand-up specials - guaranteed to lift your mood.

4th Place - John Mulaney's The Comeback Kid

This stand-up routine has a special place in my heart because I actually saw the live taping in Chicago. If you watch closely you might be able to hear me cheering! (No you won't I sat so far away, but still worth it).

3rd Place - Amy Schumer's The Leather Special

If you loved Trainwreck, definitely check out Amy Schumer's stand-up. She is a wonderfully relatable comedian and shares a ton about her personal life in this routine - completely uncensored content.

2nd Place - Aziz Ansari's LIVE at Madison Square Garden

Aziz Ansari is easily my favorite comedian. He riddles his stand-up with issues of race and identity of Indian American's in a way that everyone can enjoy. In this routine, he talks about his parents' immigrating to the US, the perils of finding love in NYC, and even improves with audience interaction. If you love Aziz as much as I do, don't miss Season 2 of Master of None! Or get caught up on Season 1 as well.

1st place - Ali Wong's Baby Cobra

In this jaw dropping routine, Ali Wong discusses everything from the realization of aging in her 30's, her newly-wed life, and her very unique take on feminism. Everything about this routine had me in awe. If you're procrastinating right now, GO WATCH!
