Well, I’m only about a month late on this what-I’m-doing-this-summer post!…Blame it on summer brain. Aside from neglecting my duties as a MODA blogger this summer, I’ve been interning at a nonprofit that does child obesity prevention initiatives–very interesting stuff. Getting to wear business clothes all the time is almost better (wait, it is better) than having a job.
This summer, I’ve been splitting my time pretty evenly between home–an hour away in the Northern suburbs–and the Chi. My hometown, Zion, has its merits; this view, for example…
Lake Michigan, just a 5 minute walk from home.
…but it also has its downfalls. Read: there is nothing to do.
You can expect a lot of posts from me this summer about exciting happenings in Chicago (LOLLA LOLLA LOLLA) as well as the more simple pleasures of home.
